The Juniper Networks SRX240B is the larger sibling of the SRX210 - a next generation high performance, low cost security platform. Based on JUNOS, uses stateful firewall, screens, security zones, application layer gateway, and IPsec VPN features based on the technology from ScreenOS and shipping as the standard version of code on Juniper Networks J Series Services Routers since May 15, 2008.

The branch SRX Series supports a newer and more powerful form of Network Address Translation (NAT), flexible and powerful configuration control, Unified Access Control, and dynamic VPN remote access services.

SRX240B Key features:

• 16 10/1000/1000 Ethernet LAN ports, 4 Mini-PIM slots
• Support for T1/E1, serial, ADSL2/2+, SDSL, Ethernet SFP, and Fibre Gigabit Ethernet interfaces (orderable separately)
• Full UTM; antivirus, anti-spam, Web filtering, intrusion prevention system requires (with high memory version)
• Unified Access Control and content filtering
• 512 MB RAM, 1 GB flash default
